      Simply... noisy

I was looking for a machine that wasn't made (mainly) by people who work for free but people who are free - i digress - i came to this Bosch. i was expecting a perfectly balanced drum, perfectly waterproof joints and i hope the electronic would last at least a couple of years.

      The Pros:
The intake pipe seems to be of good quality unlike other manufacturers. it has rubber feet. the door opens at 180° just like a more expensive Siemens. the "express 15min program" is ok. it doesn't have a LCD screen (less is more).

      The Cons:
The front buttons seem fragile. Even when 4 feet seem steady (there is a bolt to put way up) it vIbRaTeS a lot (with light or full load). it's quite frankly NOISY: not only the 747 takeoff sound when spin-drying but there's also a continuous buzz when operating.

The "Quick Rating" below asks me for "Reliability", "Ease of use", "Design", "Cleaning/Maintenance", "Quality". I give a 1 star rating to Reliability and Cleaning/Maintenance because it's too early for me to tell.

A well made machine which does everything we need.

Great washing machine, we've had this machine for a number of months now and its not missed a beat. We had a choice of a large number of machines at this price point but after reviews and talking with a few sales people we went for the more basic one. There was little to justify the extra hundred pounds instead of £350 we paid.
Why the need for the 100's of programmes when you only use about 3? mixed, white and delicates are the only ones we use. The machine does forfeit the delay start button which in hindsight might have been useful to have. The machine is very easy to clean no small gaps for dirt to live in just large flat panels, the draw is easily removed and cleaned again hassle free.
The fastest wash was takes just under a hour, it doesn't have a dedicated fast clean programme but if you have a heavy load or particularity dirty there is a Wash Plus button which slows the programme down and makes sure its clean, this does take the best part of 2 hours though.
We do our weeks cleaning (2 adults) easily in 4 loads without over-packing the machine, officially it takes a 6kg cotton load and if I remember correctly that is the same across most of the Bosch machines.
The spin speed is pre-programmed for each type but you can override it in steps from 600 to 1200. Most of the clothes are pretty dry when its done and with its matching drier the drier normally beats the washing to being done first.
The machine beeps when you press a button and beeps every few minutes once the load is complete, useful if you doing something else but annoying if you asleep! You can turn this off but its more useful to us on than off.
The draw is large and we mostly use liquid cleaner but power fit easily and doesn't get too gunked up with half used powder, the liquid appears to stay in the draw until needed, unlike our old machine the draw didn't need switch between liquid and power mode which is a pain.
The machine has a series of lights on the front that tells you roughly how far through the wash it is, helpful to know if you have most of the wash to go or another spin and done.
One of the features is reduced ironing, not totally sure how it manages to do this but we rarely use it and I can't comment sorry.
The programme selection is completed by the large dial on the right, choose the programme type and temperature at the same time. It works well but can be a hit and miss when selecting the lower ones as the angle makes things difficult to see without bending down.
The door is large and easy to use, the clip that holds it feels well made and not a flimsy bit of plastic so it will take some abuse.
The doors on the machines have been hung opposite sides so if you did buy this and the tumble you want the washer the left so the doors help you and not hinder.
Its a very quiet machine with little vibration and no really rattles. The only really annoying feature is the touch buttons instead of switches, they can be pressed if you lean against the machine for something in the cupboard above say but that really is being picky.
Overall a great machine with great washing results.
