The engineer I called out about this problem said it was because the door rubber was not clean (I do clean it regularly but obviously do then put dirty clothes in my machine!) and I was probably over filling it (at the time I had just tried to was a hand towel and a pair of light weight trousers)! I am very disappointed with my Bosh Wff1401. I bought it because it was voted Which Magazines best washing machine. I had had a Zanussi for 12 years and it was begining to not wash and spin as well as it had done. I decided to replace it with the Bosh. Sadly the Bosh does not wash or spin any more efficiently than my old Zanussi did after 12 years! The programmes are over long and it intermittently leaks from the door.
