Advantages: set the temperature and spin

Disadvantages: very long wash cycle

My Bosch WFL2260 machine was delivered a week ago. There are four basic programmes -- cotton and linen, easy care, delicates and woolens. The temperature selection varying from 30 to 90 degrees. It has variable spin, from 1100 to 600, with a rinse hold option. Select a temperature for water within the four basic programmes, then select the spin speed and start the machine. There are three extra buttons: reduced ironing, which tumbles the clothes gently in the last cycle, extra rinse, and quick wash.

So far, I love the machine! With the higher spin speeds, the clothes come out almost dry -- very useful for jeans. Permanent press shirts come out really clean, although I don't notice any difference in ironing them. The drum is larger than usual, and I washed a heavy quilt in it. It got the quilt really clean. I washed a load of normally handwash stuff, following Bosch's directions, (much smaller load, slow spin) and the clothes came out very well.

On the down side, the Bosch takes forever to do a load of clothes.
