Good Dryer, goes bad (Candy CIC 200)

Advantages: Wide door, Cheap (for a condenser), Easy to use

Disadvantages: Broke after just 12 months, can sound like an aircrraft taking off, Filter not very easy to clean

Having this dryer for less than two years, the condenser fan has already broken. All this and I use this machine only once a day with only a washer load of clothes at a time. I, unfortunately, now have to put with drying my soggy wet clothes on my radiators and steaming up my house.

Although I appear to be giving this machine some flak, I really do like the simplistic view it takes. The door is a dream, huge and wide; also the controls are more than easy, how long, what type, voila, dry clothes (most of the time) not as quiet as some but good all the same.

I will ring the Candy appliance centre (very local) to try to get hold of the spare part, here's hoping.

On the other hand though, it is going to be relatively cheap to fix (so the man tells me) and more than easy to fit (my husband could do it!!) so I will continue to buy British even though they seem to fail, just as the warranty runs out, coincidence, I think not!!

rang those extremely helpful people at the Candy service centre, I can get the part I need in approx 2-3 working days, for the grand total of £10.23. Maybe it's not all that bad!
