Advantages: Volume of washing, Speed of wash, Quality of wash
Disadvantages: More wrinkles in clothes, Doors need a good push to close
The reason we looked at the Dyson in the first place was it's large drum and short wash cycle. We have 3 young children (6,4,2) and were finding that the washing machine was on pretty much all the time, and if we missed a few days - the effort to clear the back log was a mini adventure. We've had the Dyson for a year now and it's very good, but we had to a) learn how to use it propoerly and b) buy a large drum tumble dryer to go with it. (Little point in having a large pile of clean, wet washing). The obvious point is, because it takes double the washing, you need double the detergent and double the conditioner. You'll need the conditioner as the way in which the Dyson washes means - more creases. It fits in a standard machine slot, but protrudes a few more cm than most. It is not noisey, and doesn't vibrate excessivly. You can add that last dropped sock, even after the machine has started. It been a great buy for us, and the time we've got back easily outweighs the cost.
