Good, solid feeling washing machine (Dyson CR01)

I bought the Flowcheck version (which is mostly white, and less garish than the purple version). The machine has a very solid feel to it, and appears to be well made. Installation is easy with clear instructions (the RollerJack feature that lets you easily roll the machine backwards and forwards is excellent here).

In use, the large door size is really nice. I also like the way you can pause the wash cycle to chuck in an extra pair of socks you forgot. Clothes seem to come out very clean, and as far as I can see no more or less creased than with any other machine that I've ever used. Except when contra-rotating the machine is very quiet, even when spinning at 1400 RPM. The transparent coin trap is also cool as it lets you see the colour of the water being drained (can be surprisingly grimy!). Oh yes, and it is very quick, as someone else has said.

I assume that the majority cost of a washing machine is the mechanical systems, and I figure there is probably a fairly direct correlation between the cost of the mechanics and their reliability. So as long as this thing doesn't break down for a few years, I'll consider it money well spent.
