I bought my Dyson washing machine last year and since then I have had a new washing machine from them because the first one arrived with a drum that was too small for the machine. This resulted in socks being 'eaten' by the machine.


The service I received from Dyson was not great. I reported the problem and it took months to be sorted out. When I got the new machine, the soap dispenser was broken. The engineer came out and looked at it and said he would be back in 2 day's time (March 2003). It took 3 months to get him back (July 2003)! Every time I used the machine it leaked through the dispenser.

Before getting a new machine in March 2003, I had several problems with the old one, such as not filling, not emptying and taking up to six hours to do a wash!

The machine now has a fault that has stopped it working all together. An engineer has to come out and, suprise, surpise, it is going to take another 3 days. (I called on Wednesday and someone should be with me on Friday!)

I also don't find that the clothes are washed any better than in my old machine and it is no quicker. The only positive that I can state is that I can get a bigger load into the machine. But that is not worth £1,000!

If you do need assistance when your machine goes wrong Penny at Dyson is great!
