Good washing machine not great for drying though (Electrolux WDR1242W)

This is a good little washing machine - but not so good tumble dryer. Having a large family, this machine is constantly in use and is quite noisy, and annoyingly beeps several times when it finishes - if you can't immediately get to open it, it will drive you mad! It does wash well and has decent 900 and 1200 spin speed choices. The programme dial is a little confusing to start with as there is very little differentiation between washing & drying programmes, but as with all appliances, once you get used to your favourite programmes it does become easier. There is a quick wash button to cut washing time down, but this can't be used with very much in the drum, as it doesnt wash the powder out very effectively, but is good for quickly washing a handful of items if in a hurry. The drum itself is a little on the small side I struggled to fit a single duvet in it. The tumble dryer part however, is not so good. I find it takes an extremely long time to dry even the smallest of loads and tend not to bother using it.

Summary: Great for washing not so good for drying.
