I bought the Zanussi FL-1085 "Quick & Clean" 2 years ago. I was recommended the Zanussi make as I had heard that it was extremely reliable and I haven't been disapointed in any way. My Zanussi machine has lots of brilliant buttons on it half load, economy wash, rinse hold, 500rpm spin (it normally spins at 1000rpm) and it is really easy to use, having wash cycles on the dial labelled A-P & a little key with the temperatures etc. There is also a clever dial that you can use to select whether the cycle is for a quick or long wash - there are several increments on this dial. It's so easy anyone can use it.
It is a "B" wash grade machine, but it is definitely better to go for a "B" wash than an "A" wash, my mother-in-law has an "A" wash machine (not Zanussi) & it takes an excessively long time to complete the cycle. There is certainly nothing wrong with my washing a B wash is just fine! Having had a baby & the washing machine is on night & day - I'm glad that the half load minimum wash is around 35 mins.
One thing I did forget to check before I bought my machine is the size of the drum. I didn't even think that there would be any difference, but when I got it home I realised that it was smaller than my old machine. This wasn't a problem for me, but it is worth bearing in mind when buying a new machine. I would definitely recommend Zanussi, as my washing machine - despite heavy usage is still going strong and I haven't had any trouble with it at all.
