Hoover HNWF7148 ... I was looking for a new washing machine I wanted a combined washer dryer for those cold damp winter (or summer) days when you can t put the washing out. I chose this machine as it s a name I trust. Overall it s ok but nothing special. The blurb says it takes 8kg of washing, which is true but only on some of it s 19 programmes. The others only take 5 kg. There are 2 economical washes - AA40 which washes at 40 degrees and A59 minutes, which washes at 60 degrees. The AA40, however, takes a long time to wash - well over a couple of hours. There are shorter programmes like the A59 and a 29 minute programme as well as a 44 minute cycle. Hoover Six.Express WDM120 ... for the downside. Wepurchased this machine very recently and although washing results are superb, we have already had major problems with the drying function - 2 pairs of the girls pyjamas, 1 pair of trousers, 2 tops and 1 T-shirt have been reduced in size to fit a barbie doll. (Ok, so I exaggerate a bit, but not by much - suffice to say, they are no longer of use to any of us). We called out Hoovers repair service, who duly arrived, on time and with a smile said he knew exactly what the problem was, it was nothing serious and would be fixed in no time. Wrong. Hoover HNF7147 ... this machine when my last one died on me...this one was perfect for me with its 8kg drum capacity which is essential if you have a large family like me, it as 6 normal programmes and 6 special programmes eg, wool, silk and daily programmes which take less than a hour, it also has an automatic half load so you don t need to press anything which also saves water....another good feature is that it has a delay button which is for up to 9 hours which is particually good if you are on ecomony 7. This machine is a cold water fill only so it only heats the water which is required for the wash so you don t have any loss of heat in the pipeline from your hot water tank or bo...
