I got this as I was looking for an economical but reliable machine. It is just out of warranty and we have not had a single problem with it.
Economy - you can run a 30 minute quick wash which really IS 30 minutes saving electricity and water - the wash will only be at 30 degrees but for a quick wash it's great.
You can control the temperature and spin speed on almost every programme independently. This means you can do a full wash but drop the temp right down to save money.
Steam refresh function - literally lightly steams items to refresh them - great for seat covers and other things that don't need a full wash.
Noise levels are surprisingly low.
As it goes through a cycle, the stage it is at is clearly displayed so you can see how long it has to run.
Looks smart and all lights and display are easy to read.
**Not so good points:
Hardly any, but you cant swap the way the door opens from left to right, so make sure it will work where you are planning to put it.
Child lock is an electric button - may not be as secure as you would like.
Overall - 9/10
I inititally bought a hotpoint washer dryer which i thought would save space - how wrong could i be! It broke down practically every 6 weeks and needed constant repairing!
eventually hotpoint agreed to swpa it for another model so i went for this one an all in one washing machine, it was more than i would have paid but seeing as i was doing a swap it wasnt so bad. It broke down in the first week but since then (touch wood) i've had no problems at all and its been almost 6 months.
The washing machine is great - i'm really pleased with it because i live in a new house and the walls are not the thickest i used to find that i could feel the floor vibrating with my old one but i dont feel a thing with this one! Its super quiet i can get everything i need in it, including bedding. I really like the different selection knob for different types of washing, and the fact that you can do a time saver, change the spin speed and the temperature and it tells you if your being eco friendly (makes me feel better!).
I've never had a problem with the washing in it or shrinkage, all in all im very happy with it.
And of course it looks stylish too! The only thing i would say is that its quite big both height and depth wise.
When I first saw the 'Hotpoint Aqualtis' washing machine I just new I had to have it.
I looked on a few internet price comparisson websites and found it for under £400.00. (you can get them cheaper now).
I am over the moon with it, it's super silent, has a great capacity load(7.5kg) which means I get my summer kingsize quilt in-Yippee!.You can put your bedding and towels in together, there is just soo much room.
The machine is 'A+' rated for wash performance and 'A' rated for spin and energy which is great for your pocket and the environment.
I like the LCD display that tells you how long your wash cycle has left,it even has a quick wash setting(30mins), so if your in a hurry bung it in the machine and it will be done in know time.
It has memory buttons so you can personalise what settings you want.
The 'Aqualtis' has fantastic features including a 1600 spin and yet it is not complicated to use, my husband has been known on a few occasions to do some washing.
The Hotpoint Aqualtis AQXXD169 Front Load Washer has a capacity of 16.53 cubic foot, wash programs available: Hand Wash, Wool, Wrinkle-Free, Soaking / Short name: Hotpoint AQXXD169
