To be truthful I brought this because I liked the space age look and couldn't afford the dearer LG model! However it is a fantastic little machine. We have 3 children and the load is fine for us. It will easily take 3 childrens bedding sets and clean with ease. Don't be worried about only 1400spin things it does the job its supposed to just fine. It looks really good - especially in the dark when it lights up ( i am soo easily pleased) and is very quiet. You only know its on when it spins. It also has a fab function where you can stop it mid cycle and pop in things that you have forgotten - one word of caution with this - my 17month old can operate this machine even with the child lock and I once found him emptying my machine mid cycle - water not a problem but clothes were obviously very hot having been in the middle of a 60 degree cycle. Fortunately no harm done. Also you cannot adjust the temperature from the specified programme - e.g. whites wash is set at 60C you cannot increase it to 90c.
Watch out for warranty - our machine broke within the first 4 months - repair man said it could have only been caused by a coin and we would have to have a new drum which wasn't covered under the warranty as would be our fault. We had to take out additional cover which fortunately only cost £50. Cause of fault wasn't a coin but the wire from my bra! You can imagine how happy hubby was with that!
I have given 3 out of 5 for maintenacne only because I have to clean the dispenser monthly which i have never had to do with previous machines - not sure if thats to do with my water supply or what!
So in all good value for money, looks good and can cope with the washing demands of a family of 5.
