Advantages: Multi programmes, displays duration

Disadvantages: Drawer goes black, dryer cannot be manually adjusted to switch off.

Admittedly I have the white one but that makes no diference operation. As always fromHotpoin good product styling, combined washer / dryer makes a for a space saving solution.
Good variety of programmes, as you turn the dial the temperature displays on the LCD, then after a second the programme duration - some of the programmes last 2 hours or abit over, now for the odd hard boiled item I don't mind but otherwise the 30 degree proramme for 35 minutes is fine for a freshen up.
As an aside some of the super A rated appliances in terms of energy efficiency have these types of lengthy programmes.
Wash quality is good.
I feel the dryer isn't as good as myprevious Hotpoint but I don't feel as though I have any control over this one. You cannot manually shutdown the heat - it has to run for at least an hour. it does have half heat and full heat settings and economy washes etc.
The washing powder tray does get black but I understand this is a symptomatic problem associated with washing at lower temperatures - easily remedied by a few hot washes. have taken to using the liqi-tabs in the main wash - as washing powder wasn't always taken down from the drawer, do you liquid conditioner in the drawer.

Summary: Go for the model down from this where you can control the dryer - my sister did!
