Hotpoint Aquarius WF321

Unreliable machine, We bought this machine thinking we were buying quality with the hotpoint name, but we couldn't be more wrong!! The first machine went wrong twice and now the 2nd machine's motor has packed up!!! just after the warranty ended may i add.

I bought this washing machine just under a year ago after my other one died after thirteen months. This machine is really simple to use and all of the functions are labelled on the front, my previous machine from a different brand didn't have this so I had to always refer to the manual when doing a wash that wasn't just the day to day load. The drum is a good size, as is the machine itself, not too bulky. There is no noticeable difference in the noise it makes in comparison to other machines. The downside to this machine is that the quick wash program should according to the manual take 35 minutes, but in reality takes around 45-50. Not that big of a deal ...  Read the complete review

I have owned this washing machine for just over 4 years. I have to say that i rate the washing machine quite highly. I did have a problem when first purchased, but not sure if that was just the other half pushing the On/Off button to hard! The On/Off button was jammed and would not come back out of its little hole! We telephoned Comet, and it was mended the next day, without any problem at all. From that point onwards, the washing machine has been great. It has worked hard for me over the years and has done all the work without a problem. i have owned this product for nearly 3 years and i can say it has got to be one of the worse washers there is, from day one i had nothing put problems from the pump falling, the heater not working, the belt snapping, amongst other things. I have even had the whole drum replaced it works fine for a few months then it goes wrong again. This time it is making an awful banging sound when spinning by this time it is well out of warranty. A few emails to hotpoint earned me nothing apart from they could send a engineer out that would cost me £98 not paying it. We have had one of these for just over a year and it stinks like a compost heap - or worse! there is a buildup of mouldy sludge behind the door seal by the drum. The problem I think is that with the reduced water usage it just dosn't wash the the muck away. We are not a family heavily into playing football or rugger with no small kids so nothing mucky goes in the machine just ordinary daily use washing. We have been using ECOVER does anyone else have this kind of problem?
