This is the Hotpoints budget model - but don't knock it! Madly enough my sister and I bought exactly the same model at almost exactly the same time and neither of us have had any problems with it at all ( unlike my mother with her vastly superior Hotpoint Aquarius!! ) This model isn't going to tap dance around the kitchen and double as a Karioke machine ( - would you want that anyway? ) but it does the job it was designed for more than adequately. Hotpoint have actually had rather a bad press over the past twelve months ( as anyone who watch's BBC's Watch Dog programme will know!) but there really isn't anything at all wrong with this model, it won't mangle your clothes at any rate! As a mother this machine has actually been a very good investment. It is sturdy and well designed and the limited array of buttons have survived the constant fiddling of my offspring! It also has a generous soap dispensor ( although I'm not sure that that's a plus as I always used to put too much in until I switched to tablets!! ). My previous washing machine was electronic and I actually didn't get on too well with that, this reverts to the good old fashioned dial with a modest eight wash cycles as well as pre wash and economy and half load buttons. This washing machine has now survived 12 months of hard labour! I run it at least twice a day every day!! It's been reliable, economical and fuss free. What's more it still looks good as new, I'ld thoroughly recommend it - and so would my sister!
