This is a fully electronic machine, or at least its' controls are! I'm told this means it should be more reliable....we'll see! It's done OK in its first year, with no problems at all, and I'm hoping that will continue as with 3 boys and a lodger, I am *very* reliant on a washing machine! I chose the Ultima because I wanted a machine that was relatively economical with water and which had the full range of programme options as well as some extras. I particularly wanted to be able to change the temperature on wash programmes as I'm allergic to dust mites which can only be killed at temperatures of 75o C and above. 75C obviously not ...
