My old Hoover washing machine had been suffering from intermittent memory loss for nearly twelve months poor thing. I felt it wasn't worth the cost to have it repaired and besides I could not guarantee it would display its failings to the engineer, as it only seemed to go wrong when no one was looking. I fancied a Hotpoint for a change really so I started to price them up. The day finally came when I saw the object of my desire at 10% off, this coincided with my old machine having a serious bout of senile dementia, it was fate I ordered it. From the day it was delivered about six weeks ago it has cheered my washing days considerably. I have two children so I wash more or less every day and need a reliable, well featured machine. This machine has all the features I require.... Automatic wash pre-wash and wash programmes at 95 and 40 degrees. White cottons at 95 degrees. Coulorfast cotton at 60 degrees. Non colourfast cottons etc at 40 degrees. Synthetics 50 degrees. Acrylics 40 degrees. Wool 40 degrees. Silk 30 degrees. Quickwash. Handwash. Fast and slow spin programmes. Extra options ....time saver, super rinse, rinse hold and one item. Half loads are automatically calculated. I don't really find washing machines very interesting, I just want something to get the clothes clean while I do something else. I have noticed that the performance is an improvement on my old machine. That it is simple to use. That the instruction book is user friendly. One nice little improvement to the detergent drawer is that it can now be used for liquids as well as powders. Overall I think it's going to be fine for my needs, one other thing I love the colour, I know it is not really important but it comes in white, linen or silver I have the silver zircon colour and it makes me smile.
