I TOTALLY AGREE, WHAT A AN AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE HOTPOINT HAVE, I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND ANYONE TO TAKE UP THERE AFTERCARE SERVICE, OR COME TO THAT BUY ANY HOTPOINT PRODUCT. I THINK YOU WILL FIND MOST PEOPLE ARE THINKING THE SAME WAY... MAY I SUGGEST YOU FAX MR MARCO MARINE, MANAGING DIRECTOR OR JOHN MORRISSEY, COMMERCIAL DIRECTOR ON FAX NBR 01733-341783 YOUR COMMENTS. While Hotpoint may be a name you recognise, their customer services is absolutely awful. Don't buy! We got our washing machine on 17 September 2003. In June 2004 we were doing a normal wash when it started spewing water all over our kitchen. Three 'phone calls to Hotpoint Customer Services and 10 days without a washing machine later and an engineer came out. He said there was nothing wrong, but altered the ingoing water pressure "just in case". Two weeks later on a Saturday morning and our kitchen and hallway flooded - the water had come from the machine and our brand new carpet was soaking. Customer Services claim to be ... I bought this machine last November, when my old and trusted one had finally had enough. (It was not a Hotpoint.) The new Hotpoint machine arrived two days after I bought it and I was looking forward to using my new machine. I had previously owned a reconditioned Hotpoint machine and was looking forward to reliability with a new Hotpoint one. I also had loads of washing stacking up as there are 5 of us and clean clothes were becoming scarce! I had lots of features to play with, the capacity to take a heavier load appealed to me, this machine can take up to 5.5kg, which is more than most other machines, which take around 3kg. Having just bought a house and deciding that the launderette was too far and relying on Mum was a no no, I headed around the electrical shops for a washing machine. Having looked at many a unit and discounted the Dyson which looked like the spare parts from other machines, I set my heart on the Hotpoint. Wow it comes in three colours: P - Polar white S - Aluminium N - Natural (Beige to the rest of us) I settled for the polar which looks the best out of the three as it is clean and still looks a bit spacey.
