Not in a hurry......great (Hotpoint WMA32 Aquarius)

Disadvantages: Takes forever and fairly noisy

Having just bought a house and deciding that the launderette was too far and relying on Mum was a no no, I headed around the electrical shops for a washing machine.

Having looked at many a unit and discounted the Dyson which looked like the spare parts from other machines, I set my heart on the Hotpoint. Wow it comes in three colours:
P - Polar white
S - Aluminium
N - Natural (Beige to the rest of us)

I settled for the polar which looks the best out of the three as it is clean and still looks a bit spacey.

Connection is simple (though I guess most of them are) and it is of average size and fits into most fitted kitchens.

So what is good about it? Well firstly I have no complaints over the way it cleans clothes, they glow (and no I do not live in a radioactive area). It has the option of liquid or powder cleaning products. Pre wash and main wash compartments, a load of up to 5.5 Kg and most important (maybe) adjustable feet. As well as this there is variable spin speeds, dials that have the numbers printed on the outside of the dial (on the unit) and LED lights that show what options are going to be used i.e. pre wash, main wash, rinse and spin, final spin and end. There is also the option for a single item.

The chart on the front does not stand out when looking at the machine, but is easy to read and understand.

I found the unit very good and easy to use (even for a man), but there is one down side.

It takes what seems forever. The pump is going nearly the whole time and although the machine is quiet it does make it audible.

Although these are minor points I would not recommend this to anyone that has a large family or does a lot of washing. I live on my own and so it suits me as I do not have loads of washing to do.

All in all I am not disappointed with my buy and would recommend it to those in the same position as me, especially as it is an Aquarius that uses less water a
nd gives you more money for the pub.
