I recently purchased this washing machine as a replacement for an older, tired Whirlpool Washer/Dryer. My previous machine was a 1000rpm speed and was deafeningly loud. Although I was initially dubious by the claims of the machines "super silent" features, I was very impressed by the performance that the machine gives whilst still being quiet. Even on the full 1600 spin it is quite quiet - not silent obviously, but when purchasing, the sales team were honest and friendly enough to point out that super silent doesn't mean silent and that there would be some noise. About a year ago i purchesed a brand new hotpoint aqualtis. Its LCD timer is great it tells you everything you need to no. for example if i twisted the progamme it would say white cottons then it would say 1600rpm then 60c. the spin is fantastic but the washing time is completly messed up it would say 2hours then it would suddenly say an hour left which in rinse mode it says 1 minute left when it still have 4 rinses and a final rinse left. Also it is said that the washer meant to give any indication that it is faulty which hotpoint has failed to do. When we moved into our new home 2yrs ago we were given one of these tumble driers by an elderly relative who was moving from her home into a residential home. The drier itself was only 18months old and had cost her £198.99 when she bought it. THE LOOK The appliance has a very simple, clean look, in a cream and beige colour. USAGE It's a lovely basic condenser model which eliminates the need for venting, the condenser is very easy to empty by sliding off the bottom pannel (with the vent in it) and pulling out the plastic unit which the water collects in, this then is emptied after every use and replaced into the drier.
