Advantages: delayed timer, LED display countdown to finish, good quick wash, 7kg load

Disadvantages: you can hear it! but not especially noisy, No extra rinse feature

Was a bit dubious as Hotpoint don't seem to have a very good reputation at the moment and aren't even featured in the which best buys category. However I was more than plesantly surprised by this user friendly machine which seems to have more features than the more expensive machines. I love the quick wash which on a 30 degree setting takes only 43 minutes and cleans really well. I also like the LED countdown so that you know exactly how long there is to go. You can also delay the start time which is useful if you have items which are prone to creasing and are going out. The only drawbacks I can think of is that it doesn't have an extra rinse facility although you can choose a rinse cycle once the washing has finished. It isn't as quiet as you would hope but I wouldn't say it was especially noisy and it's a small drawback considering the many plus points this machine has. In conclusion I think this is an excellent machine for the money with some very good and useful features. It cleans well and at this price I wouldn't be upset if it only lasted two or three years.
