Advantages: countdown timer, child lock, quiet and cleans well, lots of added features
Disadvantages: drawer for detergents feels a bit weak
This washing machine is very well featured for such a cheap (£300) Hotpoint. It has 13 different cycles which cover every possible wash you would want to do, including eco friendly ones. It has the delay start function, which is great when you are going out and don't want to leave damp washing in for ages. I haven't used them but it has options for 'reduced creases' 'Mini load' and 'Super wash'. All of the buttons, indicators and display are well laid out and clear, it even counts down the time left until the end of the cycle. The best feature in my opinion, is the Child Lock button, which if you have children under 5 running around, they usually love to tinker with the buttons and this protects you from washes been set off or interrupted! It washes clothes very well on all the cycles i use, and isn't particularly noisy, I have owned quieter machines but this does the job. The drum holds a good amount of clothes, and the door opens wide to allow easy loading/unloading. The drawer for detergents feels slightly too flimsy and plasticky, sometimes wonder if I might snap it off. Other than that this is a brilliant washing machine!
Summary: All in all this is a very well featured machine, and is highly recommended
