Hotpoint WF740 ... washing machine reviewed here, is the one we have had for wuite a few years now, and I can recommend them. Coloured silver, although Hotpoint call it Graphite. These are also available in white. The door release is good, and it opens fairly soon after washing is complete. It is not noticably any noisier than any other machine. They are easy to clean, just wipe with a damp cloth on a regular basis. There is a lot of plastic used in the cobstruction, which is great because it does not rust. There is little or no vibration, it is very smooth, and I am well satisfied with it. It cleans clothes just as it should, on all the settings. There are 12 different programm... Hotpoint Aquarius WD420 ... another reviewer advising against buying this machine. They might as well have delivered it straight to the tip. We got this on special offer from comet at half the retail price. At the time we thought we d found a bargain as it seemed to have everything we needed - including cycles for delicates and hand wash only items We d had it about a week when the electrics went. It took comet 2 weeks to send out an engineer to look at it. The engineer said that we were very lucky not to be standing near it at the time, because the faulty electronics would have killed us as they blew. We decided to return it to the shop ourselves. The WT540P has 16 wash programmes, including wool and delicate washes. It includes features such as quick wash and half-load functions. It also has rinse hold and refresh options, and a mechanical control panel. I have owned this product for just over twelve months and it is fairly durable and easy to maintain.
