NO pre-wash, NO Hand-Wash, contrary to Curry's website.
Author Name: Fiveportions
Advantages: Small physical outside dims. Big Drum.
Disadvantages: No Hand Wash. Only ONE Synthetics setting.
I got my IWE 7145 from Curry's. It was reasonable at around £280- but they publish an incorrect features guide on their website. Also, their delivery staff were rude (threatening even!) and not very skilled. This reflects badly on Curry's but not the machine.
This machine DOES NOT have a pre-wash option as advertised
And it DOES NOT have a hand-wash option ditto. Instructions demand NEVER to use compartment 1. P'raps you could store your clothes pegs here instead.
I selected this model because it has small dimensions as it has to fit in a tight corner. My second consideration was the alleged hand wash feature as I have hand wash items which remain at the bottom of my laundry basket that I never get to wear. They will stay there now.
I don't know what "Flash Cotton" setting is supposed to mean.
And there is only 1 (One!) synthetics setting! This is for Heavily soiled synthetics.
I am going to find it very hard to translate wash-care symbols into relevant wash cycles on this machine.
1400 RPM top speed will dry well but also leave serious creases; there is an 'Easy iron' option which I'll be interested to try out.
And the drum does look yuge; 7Kg is a very generous load.
Overall, I'm sure this will do the trick but it does not give me the same confidence as the John Lewis own brand machine I also have which is easy to use and has very explicit controls.
I'm not qualified to comment on reliability at this time.
Summary: Could be better. I wish I was not misinformed by Curry's.
