Advantages: Looks great, efficient, good price, easy to use, cold feed

Disadvantages: N/A

Now THIS is a washing machine worth raving about.

The Indesit Moon was one of the very first purchases we made when moving into our unfurnished apartment. We wanted something with a great energy rating (A+), to be very quiet whilst on maximum spin, to be a good price and most of all (no I'm not shallow) it had to look good :)

The 'Moon' by Indesit was the only washing machine which matched our criteria (and funnily enough our fridge) so we bought this about a year or so ago when Sainsbury's had a sale on. It cost £180 delivered.

So far, we have had no issues what so ever. It comes with the Indesit warranty so should anything go wrong, there's not a great deal to worry about. I was VERY surprised as to how quiet it actually was on the top spin (1400rpm). I had read reviews, but this really did make my parents seem like a wash-out (PUN!).

Perks:
The LED lights are brilliant, allowing you to see the percentage complete, whilst also looking good in the blue colour. They fade in and out once the cycle is complete.

The style is brilliant; we get a lot of comments :)

The functionality is remarkably simple, there are 6 buttons, and that's it!

Cold water feed, easy to plumb with only 1 pipe needed (having never plumbed a washing machine in before, took 5 minutes).

The conditioner/detergent/tablets can be loaded through the inside of the door. These incorporate very simple measurement levels (floating indicators) which simply let you know when you've put enough in!

30/40/60 degree washes are pretty quick cycles

Automatically locks the door when you click 'start'. A red light indicates it's locked and cannot be opened until the cycle finishes (or switched off at the wall)

The wash itself, clothes are as clean as a whistle (up to you whether or not to put that down to the products or machine, or both).

Cons:
If you put too much conditioner in (exceeding the MAXIMUM) which is rather clearly stated, you'll find your floor covered in the stuff as it has a 'release' mechanism, spilling the entire contents out! Yes it was my fault for not stopping when it said to.

Overall, a great buy, great energy savings, very quiet and can you seriously find one which looks better?
