      would highly recommend

      ~~~ Indesit WD113 ~~~
      Freestanding Washing Machine
      Front loader
      Energy Efficiency B
      Max Capacity 5kg
      Spin Speed 1000rpm
      Width 60cm
      I have had this machine for over 6 years and it was only £279 in the sales, from our local co-op stores so had a good amount of customer loyalty points in with the bargain price. During the whole time I have had this machine, it has never broken down, needed new parts or leaked in any way.
      However, the time has come to say good-bye. My poor little life saver has had enough and is trying to escape out the kitchen door every time it starts to spin. I can't blame it really. In the past 6 years, it has been on at least once a day for pretty much every day.
      This little washer has not only helped me wash the clothing of my 3 kids, but also the many visitors and their children who I have helped look after.
      The company
      Indesit Company UK is the biggest manufacturer and supplier of kitchen appliances in the UK through its Hotpoint, Indesit, Cannon and Creda brands.We work You Play is the company logo.My machine has been really easy to use, well if my son can work it anyone can.
      Easy to use? VERY
      The reason for the easy use is due to the various programmes available being set out on the front panel next to the powder loading drawer. Each wash has a number and temperature heat clearly marked.
      There are 3 push buttons features for the following washing needs;
      * Anti-crease
      * Extra economy
      * On / off
      There a 2 selection wheels for
      1. Washing programme needed
      2. Temperature gauge.
      The washes available
      Cotton Programmes
      1. White cotton wash with a pre-wash, for those very tough stains (90 degrees)
      2. White cotton wash without pre-wash, for medium stains (90degrees)
      3. Fast coloured wash, (60 degrees)
      4. Non-coloured wash (40 degrees)
      Synthetics Programmes
      5. White Nylon (60 degrees)
      6. Easy Care (50 degrees)
      7. Delicates (40 degrees)
      8. Daily Wash (30 degrees)
      Delicates Programmes
      9. Wool (40 degrees)
      10. Silk (30degrees)
      The daily wash programme is one of the best features of this machine. It only takes 30mins and washes at 30˚. So this makes it very economical to use. The clothes do come out as clean as the Non-coloured wash, but in half the time.
      I did have a user's manual that was lost not long after the machine arrived (its in that safe place !!!) Luckily I've never needed it.
      Cleaning the powder loading drawer is very easy - you use gently lift the drawer and slide out. The fabric conditioner compartment easily lifts off to reach the inside.
      Up until now, the machine has always been very quiet. Even on a full spin it only manages a low hum.
      There is a 30 sec time lock on the door that releases when the wash has finished.
      However, if you did need to stop the machine in an emergency (CAT INSIDE THE WASH!!) You can turn the machine off and it will unclock after 1 min.
      You may be saying - cat in the machine ?! Yeah right. Believe me it has happened. Luckily the cat was black and the wash was a White so he stood out abit.
      The spin cycle is a good speed at 1000rpm and leaves clothes well spun so no dripping water running down your shelves as you are hanging out.
      Even though it is falling apart on every spin cycle, it is still washing the clothes really well. I know I have got to stop using it because the whole house is starting to move. Well it brings a new meaning to the saying 'Did the earth move for you darling?'
      I don't know what else to say about this fab little machine apart from a sad farewell. It is going to be sorely missed.
      I will definately be looking out for another Idesit as they are a very reliable machine.
      Thanks for reading guys
        Cheap but probably not cost effective
        Our Indesit washing machine was bought on a budget but we thought it would be fully capable of doing the job its expected to do.
        The machine worked fine for 1 year 9 months then started leaping around the room and making noises like an approaching Tube train. Worked well again for another 13 months then the same started to happen.Unfortunately we did not take out the extended warrenty and unfortunately one of the main components of the machine (the drum bearing) which must have a a life of between one and two years went. We decided to cut our loses and invest in a new machine.
        Indesit machines appear to built for the cheaper end of the market and are only just capable of doing what it says on the box. I guess if you were only going to use once a week it may last longer but for everyday washes I think a better quality is needed.
