Advantages: It cleans your clothes if it you can get an exorcist in to free the demons possessing it.

Disadvantages: Deafeningly loud!

If you are in a rock band then this is the perfect washing for you. The same applies if you regularly go to see live music and like to stand near the front! It's not a bad washing machine and I would recommend it for people who dont like washing their clothes often! Its handy and harmless as somewhere to store your tea towels if you have few cupboards but if you want to wash your clothes, stay home and keep your hearing then forget it!

I had this washing machine for two years and bought it as brand new, if I recall correctly it cost about £300-£400. It was a front loading washing machine and the reason we had chosen this particular one was that it said it was one of the most ecologically sound machines on the market, I don't know if this is true but this is what they told us in store. This was something to do with the spin cycle being incredibly fast and so getting rid of the most amount of water from your clothes in the quickest time. I must admit that the clothes were never sopping wet when the cycle was done. This particular machine didn't have a drying function and was freestanding. The maximum loading capacity was around 5.5 kg and was about 1000 revolutions per minute with spin efficiency rating of B, wash efficiency rating of A and energy efficiency rating of A.

From its first wash till its last, it was honestly the noisiest washing machine I have ever heard in my life! It threw my husband and I into an awful panic any time we had to do a load of washing. It often was so noisy it drove us out of the house! There was no way you could stay in close proximity to it as it was ridiculously loud. That washing machine drove us out of the kitchen and made us scared to wash!

At first we were convinced it was a problem with the drum or something but when we got a guy in to look at it he moved away from it while it was in full cycle and looked like he had seen the face of the devil in it! We half expected him to run out of there screaming! My husband suggested that perhaps an Exorcist would do better with the it! Eventually the repairman told us that there was nothing technically wrong with it but agreed that the volume was crazy and that we should report it to the manufacturer. Which we did, only to have them imply that perhaps my husband and I shouldn't be so sensitive! Well I know I am a bit of a hippy in some peoples eyes but scared of washing and sensitive I am not!

I could recommend it in terms of it 'doing the job' as it were but unless you want to feel like you have a spacecraft taking flight in your kitchen, I wouldn't recommend this particular kind at all!
