Indesit WE 12

Well we've had one for about a year now, heavily used (7-10washes a week) with virtually no problems. The one it replaced was a Hoover 1300 (WD130?) which only lasted 17months before the drum bearing failed. Hoover didn't want to know, and will not sell replacement bearings - the whole drum has to be replaced at a parts cost of £130!!! - we didn't bother... Oh and the mechanical programmer was starting to 'stick' on program 3 - I didn't ask the replacement price... As per feedback from dooyoo user "qrf", we had the same machine for around 2 years and the bearings went. We had to buy the whole plastic section for the back of the drum which contains the bearing housing (cost c. £50) and it was a fiddly job to get it back on and sealed correctly. Since fixing this problem a couple of months ago, the wash cycle starts, but then the timer continuously clicks round and round when it gets to a certain part of the cycle (for hours if not powered down), often when the pump is trying to drain water which doesn't seem to be there. We have had this washing machine for just over a year now and we have had the engineer out to fix it about five or six times. Our twelve month guarantee has just expired, so when it breaks down again it will be going to the tip where it belongs. Every few weeks, a fault code flashes up on the display which stops the machine. The engineer has supposedly fixed this problem on numerous occasions, but the fault still persists. Also within the first twelve months, we have had to have new bearings fitted to the machine. The part had to be ordered, which meant we had to be without a washing machine for almost four weeks!
