I too had the same experience with this dreadful washing machine.
It was noisy from brand new - the motor buzzed loudly on slow rotation. (I was expecting smoke to appear)
After about 6 months the computer partly failed and would not allow me to change the program. (everything had to be washed at 40 degrees)
Then after 1 year the drum bearing started to fail and the noise as it spun was really alarming. I mean so loud that the people next door asked what was happening.

Then the door lock system failed and it would not open - the only way to open it was by turning off the power for 2 hours then turning on again andwaiting for the red light to stop.

Then after a really bad wrenching noise at full spin it collapsed into itself and went into self destruction - tripping the house circuit breakers and frightening us.

It now resides at the local tip after 18 months of unsatisfactory service.
