I am not calling the last reveiw but it was not for the stated model, this one is.
I bought this washer/dryer machine about two years ago now as my last washer/dryer machine (Candy) was overloaded and the drum broke. A repair man recommended buying a new one rather than getting the old one fixed. I decided that I would not spend as much as I did on my last appliance and just accept the fact that every few years I would need to replace the appliance. I think I paid around £350 including delivery.
Comet (where it was bought from) came and fitted it and took the old appliance away. Once ready to use the dials looked quite self explanatory. There is thirteen different wash cycles plus a rinse, spin and drain option. I tend to only use three of the settings on a regular basis. Also a great option is the temperature control which is available; this allows you to decide what temperature you want your wash on, this ranges from 30 to 90 degrees. I tend to use 30 degrees for the majority of my washes with great cleaning power.
I place at least one wash on everyday (two or three at weekends) and use the dryer possibly every other wash. I thought this was important to mention so you realise that it is used on an often basis.
The draw to load the fabric softener and powder does have one small problem. It is quite hard to clean, if any powder of softener ends up in the wrong compartment it is difficult to clean. It does not affect the performance of the machine but still is a bit frustrating.
The noise level is relatively quiet, the only time that I can say the noise is noticeable is when it's on the spin cycle, but even then it is much quieter than my last machine.
As for the drying performance I can say that this is excellent, you can set it either on time or level of dryness. I have used both but the level of dryness is better as it will turn itself off when the sensor has detected the correct drying level.
Finally the wash load is 5kg when the clothing is dry; I have not ever overfilled the machine as I want to prolong its life unlike my last Candy machine. I am really happy with my machine and when it eventually breaks down I will invest in a new Indesit washer/dryer.
Naturally I thought I was very domesticated but recently after a few unfortunate event's I have realised that I am far from it. The worst incident being overfilling my washing machine. The drum dropped on the machine and it ended up in the middle of my kitchen in a very sorry state.
As I have a 15 month old monkey a washing machine is a very important applience I use almost every day so I needed to find a new one as soon as possible. However, as a young family with very low funds available I knew I would be looking for credit on the item.
After hours of researching sizes, spins and capacity on the internet I came across Littlewoods who did the exact item I needed. The Indesit "IWE7145B" 1400 spin, 7kg load washing machine which came in white was perfect for my needs.
The cost is £349.00 over 52 weeks interest free and free delivery. But the price is well worth it. It has a Stand by function which automatically switches the machine off after 5 minutes so no more wasted Electric, Three Sports programmes which include Sport intensive, sport light and special shoes for trainers. A Digital display which also tells you how long is left on the cycle so you know if to go out or not before the spin finishes.
Variable temperature which you can control and also variable spin. 16 programmes including sports cycles, wool, delicates, jeans and express for faster cycles.
It also comes with Special options such as Eco time, extra rinse. An Auto half load which is fantastic as I always seemed to forget to switch this on with my old machine. And a 24 hour delay start Which is fantastic if you need something done but are not going to be in to switch the machine on. It also has a cold water fill so only one tap needs to be fixed when the item is installed.
If you are anything like me you will think the above is a load of bumph which comes with every electrical item but it is very accurate and Indesit have done really well with coming up with a washer that does everything a family needs.
When I tried the item for the first time I was so shocked that it was so quite I didn't need to close the kitchen door which I did everytime with my old machine.
All in all I would say this is a fantastic machine which is very appricaited in our family.
