We got this LG washing machine at a price of £382 with a guarantee of ten years! It has 13 different settings according to the laundry type you are wanting to wash: cotton; syntheitc; cotton quick; quick 30; handwash/wool; delicate; bulky; blanket; bio care; baby care; and white. You then have the options of: Medic rinse; pre wash; intensive; and crease care- again, allowing you to choose an appropriate setting for the laundry which you want to be washed, meaning you can save on how much water you use. This machine holds and impressive 7kg of clothes, but detects the exact weight of the load you have put in, meaning it can determine how much water it needs and how long it will take to wash the load- the digital timer lets you know how long this will take by telling you what cycle it is on, and what it is doing at that moment, e.g washing, spinning etc. Therefore, with all these features in mind, it is definitely a very smart washing machine in that it strives to save energy and money by letting you choose settings which cater to the minor details of the load you are putting in the machine. A further positive of this LG washing machine is that the clothes do not come out completely dripping wet! By choosing the appropriate amount of water, it means the load gets just the right amount, leaving them light and only slightly wet. However, despite initially being a very quiet washing machine, since getting a laminate floor, it has become loud like all the other machines. Furthermore, we had to cut out 4 holes in the laminate floor so that the washing machine would stop sliding around- not much of a problem as you cannot see these holes, but it was a bit disappointing.
The main reason I purchased this washing machine from LG, was that I was pleasantly informed that it came with a guarantee of ten years, which I found to be superior in comparison to other compeeting brands, and also, the capacity of this washing machine is very good, allowing you to wash 7 kg of clothes, and so far, it has washed my clothes amazingly, leaving them very clean and light, not once having experienced the machine ruining or causing damage to any of the clothes! When washing clothes, I usually use settings between 30-60 degrees, and with this machine, a quick wash on 30 degrees takes no longer than maximum 45 minutes, which I find very impressive and a proof of the good quality, as the clothes come out not at all soaking wet, but rather light and with a lovely scent and feel to them. This is an A+ machine in terms of energy efficiency, and I have saved a lot of money after switching to this machine, it washes my clothes without effort and very thoroughly and efficient! Another great feature about this machine, is a digital timer, informing you of the process of washing your clothes, from how long it will take to where the machine is in the process, washing, drying, rinsing and so on... There are thirteen different settings to choose from, but I normally go with the pretty standard ones, and I am so far very pleased and content with having chosen this machine, spending 200.99 for it, a buy I have not at all regrets having done! The look of this machine is traditional and not that original, but on the other hand, it`s absolutely easy to use, and the quality is very good and the machine in itself trustworthy! Without hesitation, I award this machine with five out of five stars, it really is an addition to my home that I have come to enjoy a lot!
I have had this machine a little over a month now and I have to say this is one of the best purchases I have made. I have so far found no faults with this machine what so ever and it is is fantastic! It comes with 13 ridiculously easy to use settings and as it is a direct drive motor it is extremely quiet, this motor also comes with the added bonus of a 10 year standard guarentee on it which is great piece of mind. I also took out with LG their additional 4 years cover covering parts, labour, call out and accidental damage repairs which I felt was a bargain at just under £100 considering this machine is so reasonably priced. I find the quick wash option particularly good on this machine, it is all you require for clothes which need re freshing and are not heavily soiled. This machine spins at a maximum of 1400rpm and with that spin on a quick wash at 30 or 40 degrees it takes 41 minutes and the clothes come out virtually dry and smelling great. When using different settings you are able to put a load in the 7kg drum which is very spacious, choose your spin speed and water temperature and then press go. It will then detect the weight of the load, work out how much water it needs and calculate how long that particular load will take to wash. It then lets you know on the digital timer how long it will take and it is cost effective as you only use the water you need. The digital timer panel also tells you what part of the cycle it is on,whether it is detecting, washing, rinsing or spinning which is another little feature I like. This machine has fantastic ratings too it is A+ energy efficient A Wash efficieny and B spin. For it having a larger 7kg drum it is a nice looking machine with nice styling and is only the same size as a standard washing machine so fits in any standard size gap. Overall this is by far the best washer I have ever owned - I give it a 10/10 and would recommend to anyone looking for a good value all round washing machine!
