... Miele wash/dryer WT2670 broke down when it was just 14mths old, some part needed replacing, then 2 years on it broke down again, the washing doesn t dry, faulty fan belt or condenser? Miele states that they last an average of 20 years or 15,000 working hours. If they are so confident in their high quality products and the longevity of them, why do they insure them? We have not registered for this Free 5-year parts and labour , as we believed in their products. ... had a single problem with the machine. This is in stark contrast to our previous Hotpoint machine which had endless problems with it. We were calling out an engineer every six months on our British Gas homecare policy for about three years with our old machine, and then finally it completely packed up. Asked the engineer for his recommendation, and he said that the best machines were made by Miele. He said they were more expensive, but the best build quality and would last much longer than all the machines that were half the price.
