Miele WT2670WPS ... Miele wash/dryer WT2670 broke down when it was just 14mths old, some part needed replacing, then 2 years on it broke down again, the washing doesn t dry, faulty fan belt or condenser? Miele states that they last an average of 20 years or 15,000 working hours. If they are so confident in their high quality products and the longevity of them, why do they insure them? We have not registered for this Free 5-year parts and labour , as we believed in their products. When it broke down the second time, I was told that I have to pay for everything myself (the 2-year warranty ran out) and that one has to register because the insurance company needs this certificate, which yo... Miele W4144WPS ... had a single problem with the machine. This is in stark contrast to our previous Hotpoint machine which had endless problems with it. We were calling out an engineer every six months on our British Gas homecare policy for about three years with our old machine, and then finally it completely packed up. Asked the engineer for his recommendation, and he said that the best machines were made by Miele. He said they were more expensive, but the best build quality and would last much longer than all the machines that were half the price. Miele Prestige W562 ... 2 Hotpoints break down in 5 years. Engineer said most washers in this league were the same, quality had dropped and they didnt last as long as they used to. The latest Hotpoint lasted just over 2 years and the motherboard had gone,not worth replacing cost wise. It had become noisy on final spin to the point we had to turn the TV up to hear.Asked his recommend, he said without doubt Miele he said they were expensive but good quality. Had heard of them but thought they were too expensive.Ordered another Hotpoint in haste but after searching internet found this model for #525 with 5 years guarantee .So bit the bullet and what a difference.
