Advantages: Easy to use

Disadvantages: Can not do alot of work, doesnt last long

After having a very reliable 6 years with my old washing machine it decided to have a nervous breakdown and I had to have a new one. I didnt have alot of money to spend at the time and having a young family I needed one quickly.

I visited my local electrical store and came accorss this little number it looked easy and small and all I was bothered about at the time was it washing 8 loads of washing a week. I was assured by the shop manager that this was a popular washing machine and that it would last me a few years.

It cost me £195 and he would deliver it and take my old one away this was great because I had no way of disposing my old one. Later that afternoon as promised he came and collected the old one and fitted the new one in for me. It was a cold water washer only which I had never seen before and he explained to me that most washers were made like this for energy efficient purposes.

I had a few good months with this washer then it started to fill with water and wouldnt drain out I called the shop again and he came out hesitantly to take a look and emptied the drum and told me that something had got stuck in the pipe and cleaned this out for me. After that I made sure all pockets were emptied before putting them in the wash.

Just as the year guarentee ran out I had the same problem again so I did what he did I emptied the drum and the pipe and tried again still the water would not empty so I called them again and this time I would have to pay. I had a man come out to take a look he told me it was the pump and this would cost me £95 to fix the problem and he assured me that was all that was wrong with it and that the pump was guarenteed for 3 months and that it would last much longer than that. Not having alot of money at the time I decided to go ahead and get it fixed.

Two months after having the pump done something happened again the spin stopped working it was filling with water and my clothes just wernt getting washed. This time I decided to give up and buy a new one.

Due to my old washer lasting as long as it did I was very dissapointed with this one after having it fixed it had cost me almost as much as the old one. I would not trust the servis brand again or the shop that I bought it from. I should have used the laundrette for a few weeks until I had the money to buy a better brand.
