super price ! super wash! (Servis M3101A)

Advantages: energy efficient, easy to use, cheap to buy

Disadvantages: cannot wash a quilt or large blankets, door very sticky when first bought (thought i'd broke it), nothing else i have noticed

I bought my servis m3101a about 6 months or so ago and its great .
it cost me £199 from littlewoods catalogue and well worth it.

I was going to go for one of the larger washer manafacturers washing machine but decided to save some money and go with the cheapest as my washing machines all break down after a couple of years any way (cheap or not)

It was easy to install pipes were all colour coded and it was all well explained in the user manual. if in any doubt consult a plumber though
when you first install it the door is extremely sticky
it took me an age to open it to get my first load done! perservere it does open eventually.

ENERGY RATING
I believe the rating for it was energy a and its definatly lived up to that .
Its wonderfully cheap to run which is ideal if you do more than one wash a day

The wash programmes on it are as follows:

1) 95 c wash and pre wash
2)95 c colourfast cottons
3)60 c colourfast cottons
4) 40 c non colourfast cottons
5) super rinse/spin
6) rinse /spin
7) fast spin
8) 60 c +pre wash
9) 60 c white nylon
10) 40 c economy wash
11) rinse/slow spin
12) slow spin

more than enough programmes for the average family!

The following option can be used in conjunction with each wash programme

1/2 load available on programmes 1,2,3,4,8,9,10


TO SELECT THE PROGRAMME YOU REQUIRE
To select the programme you require you turn the selector dial in a clockwise direction until the indicator is opposite the required programme number.
the dial is located on the top right

DRAW COMPARTMENTS
'This is designed to flush all detergents and additives into the machine '
there are three compartments as follows:
1.prewash and bio powder
2.main wash powders
3.fabric softners

Despite it being designed in this way there is usually a build up that i have to clean out regularly. and its awkward to remove to clean it.

LOADING
To load the machine is pretty easy its not an extra large door but it is big enough.
maximum load is 10lb
down side to the loading is that it isnt capable of washing quilts (single) or large blankets

FILTER
That little annoying thing thats usually only located where the repair man only knows its location (and he'll charge you a small fortune to unblock it for you).
On this model its handily located in the bottom right hand side at the front
you pull the cover down ,twist it one turn and hey presto you can unblock your own filter for nowt!!!
note put a towel down as it holds some water in there!!!

CLEANING ABILITY
It cleans as it should (normal soiling) .
If there is heavy staining/soiling you might need to use some sort of stain removal
:-(usually the case with most washing machines.:-(

SPINNING
The spinning speed is 1000 rpm which is pretty good so the washing isnt that wet when it comes out .

not too big for the average kitchen
but if space is at a minimum this model may be a little too big!

WATER INTAKE
Hot and cold fill or cold fill only
-although coldfill only will use alot more elctric as it will have to internally heat the water.

LOST SOCKS
I haven't amazingly lost any socks yet !!! i will update if this changes lol


FREEBIES
I received a cd rom with my washer that allows me access to the Servis website for help with my washing machine (trouble shooting ,installing etc)
I also got a free trial pack of ariel washing powder
and a free sample of lenor fabric softner

OVERALL
This washing machine is ideal for small families as its cheap to buy ,easy to use and economical to run . HAPPY WASHING (if thats possible )lol :-)
