Basic, reliable machine but don't expect it to last a lifetime! (Siemens WXB 1060)

Advantages: Reduced creasing spin functionality

Disadvantages: No special program for light loads, normal programs slow

We've had this model for 4 years without a problem, using it about 10 times a week - no rough treatment such as washing tennis shoes although perhaps we overloaded it occasionally with too many towels.

The normal cycle seems a bit long and the machine seems to spend much more time rinsing and spinning (especially spinning) than washing. Reduced garment-creasing spin functionality is good. The machine doesn't have a special program for small loads.

Liquid detergents in soluble plastic bubbles do not always fully disolve; when this happens, the partially-disolved bubble sticks to the clothing (perhaps this problem is not the machine's fault).

The pump packed in last weekend so we're replacing the machine. We'll stick with Siemans but we're disappointed that it did not last longer.
