I bought one of these in January 2001, and so far I'm fairly pleased with it, though obviously it's still early to pass judgement completely. The FJS1225W has a delay start feature, which I like, because I can load in in the evening and delay the start to early the folowing morning, when I may have the energy to put the clothes on the line. The machine is generally pleasant to use and has a nice big door instead of a little porthole, as on my previous Hoover. BUT - and this is a big but - on two occasions that my wife has washed her bras in it, it has chewed them up completely, so that the bra wire has come out and stuck in the holes in the drum. Is this a common feature in washine machines?

By the way it pays to shop around - the big chains (Comet,etc) quoted £400-420 for this model, but I got it for £360 from a local distributor. They fitted it and took the old one away too.

Summary:
