Zanussi FLA1001

after 5 years my bearing has also gone and, after reading the review, I don't think I will be able to have it fixed. Also annoying, the lower temperature washes and quick washes are only for half loads and all programmes tangle trouser legs and sleeves so that they come out knotted round everything else. I am very disappointed as my previous zanussi gave me at least 12 years of good service. This review applies to the Zanussi model FLA 1001, 1101 or 1201 washing machines (same machine but with different features). We bought ours in April, 2001 for almost 300 pounds. It worked reasonably well for 3 years, but suddenly last month, started making a terrible loud whirring noise when spinning. We called 2 repair-men. The first said if it's a Zanussi, it's not worth fixing and we should junk this machine. Another repair-man came, took it apart and listened to the noise. When I eventually left home (at the age of 30!) in order to set up home with the woman I loved and was eventually to marry, whe were given all manner of appliances to help us. (By appliances I mean the electrical and kitchen variety, you mucky-minded lot!).
