Armani do some lovely watches for men and surprisingly they aren't as expensive as you might imagine since they bear the Armani name and logo on them.
When you think a pair of plastic Armani sunglasses can set you back nearly 200 then you might expect a watch to cost more but surprisingly they can be picked up quite reasonably such as this one which I bought online for less than 100. I paid 89 for this watch though it seems to have a recommended retail price of above a hundred but if you look around you can definitely still pick it up for less than that.
This is a very smart and stylish watch. It isn't showy or ?blingy' by any means but that is exactly what attracted me to it as I wanted something that was classic and smart looking and didn't draw too much attention. This fitted the bill perfectly. The watch has a black leather strap and a rectangular stainless steel face. It looks very sophisticated and understated when it is on my wrist and although it isn't showy it is still eye catching thanks to its modern yet classic looks. It is also a good size as it isn't huge on my wrist but it is still of a decent enough size that it stands out without being overpowering.
The quality of the watch is excellent and everything from the stitching to the leather used in its construction is first rate. The leather strap has a slight crocodile effect which is really nice looking and all the stitching work of the leather is tight and even. The buckle is also really good quality and it fastens and closes smoothly and doesn't get stuck in the leather or cause it to stretch. The watch is really comfortable on my wrist as the leather strap makes it quite lightweight to wear and to be honest once it is on you don't even notice it after a while.
The face of the watch is particularly attractive thanks to the black background against the stainless steel. The numbers on the face are also silver coloured and are in Roman numerals which looks good. The 12 is actually the Armani logo which sounds tacky but looks subtle enough that most people wouldn't actually notice it unless they really looked closely.
The watch is powered by a Japanese quartz which means nothing to me but I do know it keeps perfect time as far as I can tell. I haven't had to adjust the time yet or replace the battery after owning the watch for over two years now.
This is a really smart watch that is excellently made and for less than 100 I can't praise it enough and I think it looks great and also looks much more expensive than it actually was. This is a sophisticated watch for a modern man.
