Advantages: Uses childs imagination, extra accessories available

Disadvantages: Strap doesn't fit very well

Ben 10 is every little boys best program in the world at the minuite. Both of my boys drive me mad watching this program over and over again. It is about a boy who goes on a 6 week holiday with his grandad and cousin where he finds a watch that has special powers to transform him into aliens to save the world. What part of this program wouldn't they enjoy.

So when it came to my sons birthday he had seen this advertised and begged me to buy it him. I visited toys r us and noticed it for £17 and it came with one figure which was swampfire.

This has clips around the top of the watch that the seethrough plastic figure fits on and when you press it down it makes a noice and says something in the aliens voice. We had also bought some other figures which we noticed that the plactic on the bottom of them that helps them clip in were all different so that the watch can determin which alien it is so they will say different phrases. The top of the watch also lights up to make the alien glow.

My son has had lots of fun with this pretending to be each alien and fighting the bad guys, as much as it seems like a pointless toy it has taught him how to use his imagination so it has turned out a very good investment.

There is one big problem with this and that is the strap, it is made from a hard plastic that just about bends round the childs wrist and has black plastic bits that are supposed to push through the strap to hold it on. Unfortunatley this does not fasten very well and keeps falling off my sons wrist and you can not get it tight on their wrist either.

Overall my child loves this wether it fits or not and it has taught him how to use his imagination so the strap problem hasn't been that much of a problem for us. Eventhough this is a popular program for children I haven't found that this has been over priced. He has also had this for over a year now and the battery hasn't gone yet.

Summary: Good toy to pretend for children and not expensive
