I was looking for a nice modern watch to buy and decided it would have to be a Diesel after seeing their range. I had a look in a modern watch shop and decided on the DZ7073. It's a lovely watch - I opted for the black one although they also had a white one in stock. My main reason for this was that I've had a white strap watch before and it just gets terribly dirty and ruins it.
The strap on this watch is actually really beautiful. It has a Diesel shield on each side of the watch face on the strap. This shield is black and silver with little screws in it, which looks stunning. A metal plate with the Diesel logo is also screwed into the strap on the lower bit. The watch has many holes to fit all size wrists - mine isn't huge and it fits well, with even tighter holes if you have a small wrist.
The strap is of great quality - it's mainly leather with a plastic side to it. The leather has a pattern on it to make it look that much better. Lots of detail has gone into the strap so it looks very impressive and attractive. The strap is reasonably chunky, which is just the style I like. The strap fits through a metal part with the Diesel logo before being secured.
The face itself looks great too. It has a shiny silver panel screwed in on each corner surrounding the screen, which seems to have a slight yellow tint in the background. The numbers are displayed digitally in black. You can change the settings but my current ones show the time in 12 hour mode with indicators for AM or PM as well as the date, day of the week and also the seconds too. The bottom strip on the screen shows which screen you're actually on within the menu.
There are two main buttons on the left (mode and select) along with three on the right hand side, which are fitted onto a glossy panel. The watch has an alarm, stopwatch, timer and settings. It also has tips, where you can press the tip button to receive a tip. These can be pretty random and pressing it now, it says 'Eat out tonight'... looks like this watch could be costing me a lot! Some of the tips make me smile as they are reasonably funny. The watch also has a light, which works really well and fully illuminates the screen for a good few seconds.
The time keeping on any watch is the main function. I didn't expect it to be excellent but this watch has kept superb time, having compared it to my radio alarm clock, which automatically streams the exact time. It also has the same time as any major clocks I look at whilst out and about and on the news.
So overall this is an excellent and really stylish watch. It cost me a fair bit at around £100, but it was well worth it. It seems to be hard to buy right now as there are so many new versions out. I have seen people with similar versions but this one is quite unique on the street! The white one looks fantastic if you're willing to put up with the dirt-attracting strap. Highly recommended!
Thanks for reading!
:)
Summary: A superb watch, which looks great and is really accurate
