~*~ DKNY Watch ~*~

So, I was just about to review my latest DKNY perfume when I stumbled across this category. The idea of writing about this was much more exciting, hence the review! I have owned my DKNY 'NY3430' for about a year now. I got it as a Birthday present, and have previously owned a similar model, which to be honest was pretty much exactly the same without the diamante detailing and with a different colour face. Anyway, I was pleased with the watch nonetheless, and a girl can never have too much Donna Karan!


~*~ The style ~*~

The 'NY3430' - that's the one thing I don't like about these watches, the names. Ok, they need to have a model number, but surely naming them things such as 'Tiffany' or 'Crystal' would add a bit more luxury to the product, and also make remembering the specific watch you want to purchase a hell of a lot easier! Anyway! The watch is made from stainless steel and has tiny crystal-studded links which give it that bit of sparkle and glamour.

The face of the watch is black, simple and elegegant. It doesn't have any numbers on it, simply the hands, and 'DKNY' printed at the top in little silver letters. A very classy watch.

The watch has removable links which mean that you can adjust the size of the watch without having to take it to a shop to have done, which is very handy. A nice little touch I found with the links is the 'DKNY' logo printed on them. Silly little details like that just add to the magic of the product.

* Splash proof (not water proof - no deep sea diving in this one!)

~*~ What's in the box ~*~

This little stunner comes packaged in a lovely DKNY frosted hard box. The box in itself screams luxury. On opening the box you are presented with two little manuals made of high quality paper - an instructions manual and your guarantee. Take these off and you find the watch itself, beautifully presented, sparkling and waiting for a wrist to love!

I love new watches (OK, to be fair, I also love new shoes, new clothes, new puppies...), and sad as it sounds it makes my heart beat that little bit faster opening a box to find something sparkly and brand new just waiting to add itself to my outfit!


~*~ The price ~*~

Currently selling in John Lewis for £115, 'Watchstopuk.com' however have it for a bargain £85 including free delivery. Amazon are also currently selling for just under £80, so you can see it's worth shopping around! Not one of the cheapest watches you will buy but by far the most expensive brand out there.


~*~ The experience and verdict.... ~*~

I love DKNY and their watches (and bags of course!) are probably my favourite products stocked by them. They are elegant, classy and don't date. I have had my watch for almost a year and it is still being sold in stores, which proves this fact! However, I have noticed that a lot of their products are very similar. This can be seen a plus, though - if you aren't too bothered about having the latest model, you can pick up an older model that looks almost exactly the same much cheaper - check out ebay for these for some great bargains.

The only problem I have found which DKNY watches (I have 3!) is that every single one I've owned loses time. Not drastically, but I'd say on a montly basis at least the time is out by at least half an hour, which can be a bit of a pain - especially if you dont notice. Apart from this, I have never had a problem with any of my watches breaking, which is a big achievement as I am the queen of clumsy!

Overall, a brilliant little watch that I would definitely reccommend if you are looking to treat yourself - or someone else!
