“ Brand: DKNY / Watch for: Women „
This is a review on one of my 'dress' watches. It doubles up as a stunning piece of jewellery and attracts no end of compliments when I wear it.
I got this as a gift about four years ago. I wanted a nice watch to wear on nights out and at the races and I wanted to pick soemthing that would go with everything.
**Why this one?**
I chose this watch because it's got a bit of crystal sparkle on it but they are not bright silver - because they are on a dark background, they are a bit more subtle.
**Sizing and fastening**
The watch has links on it so you can adjust to your size. One half is a solid arc that makes it more bangle style to wear and then the closure is a solid clip that doesn't ever fall open. To release you have to click it open which can be quite challenging after a good night out!
We bought this from Beaverbrooks and they gift wrapped it beautifully. What I like about this shop is how carefully they handle the jewellery (usually wearing gloves) and the same battery is still going strong which is good as I don't wear it on an everyday basis.
This watch comes in a good quality hinged plastic box with the DKNY logo on it. Inside is a mock suede cuff that the bangle wraps around. It keeps it safe and clean whilst I'm not wearing it. This then came in a cardboard box with a guarante and instructions booklet.
**The downside to this watch**
The face is really tiny on this watch and you only get symbols at three, six and nine with the DKNY logo at 12 o'clock. I can give you an approximate time with this watch but it always comes with an 'ish. I know that's a bit ironic for something that's supposed to be a watch but hey, that's style for you!
**The upside to this watch***
It is really really pretty and doubles as a piece of jewellery. Like a pretty bangle and that's the primary reason that I wanted it.
OK so this was no cheap buy, it cost in the region of £150 but is pleasing to see that more than three years later you can't get it any cheaper so has retained its value.
This watch came in other colours, like silver and gold but I liked the black model with silver stones (just like the picture above) as it goes with most outfits (It also comes with black stones and other variations). It's very ergonmic with the stones which are inset and don't catch on things if you swept past which I have had problems with jewellery before. It makes me feel special every time I wear it and for something I've had four years, that's not bad as the novelty usually wears off quickly with me. One star gets knocked off for my inability to tell the exact time with it...doh!
Thanks for reading ;-)
