I like a good watch and have a few to keep me on time when getting from a to b etc. The emporio armani watches I have are great but some have a very difficult fastener on them that is hard to master. This one is easier to work out and its a good looking watch that I like a lot. The watch comes in a great gift box. You get an outer box and a proper case inside that. The case lets the watch sit on the shaped bit provided and protects it. Its not velvet inside on the case but more like black peach skin. The case lid snaps up to open and snaps down to close it. It says emporio armani on it and looks very smart. I got my watch because I had experience of armani watches and liked them. This one is very smart and it looks great on my wrist. I like the jet black dial and the way the numbers look like lightening flashes running out from the centre of the watch face. The watch has a second hand that is set in a small section on its own. I think that is good if you need to time something more precisely and it also looks very cool on the watch face. The watch is very quiet and the second hand is a way to check if the battery is working and the watch is still going. The watch does not tick. The watch face is rectangular but it has a curve as well and does not sit 100% flat. It follows the shape of my wrist and I think thats good. The side of the watch is in silver, stainless steel and the detail on the side that has the emporio armani name running along makes a very stylish feature that I like. The strap is very good and comfortable when I wear the watch. I like the black leather used and the design is very good. The armani name is on the underneath of the strap. It looks classic and smart and gives a timeless look to my watch. The clasp/ buckle on the strap works ok and the punched holes fit this ok so I can adjust the watch as I need to. This is easier to work than many of the armani for men watches are. The glass on my watch is mineral glass for less scratches and I think it works well because I don't have any scratches on the watch after a lot of wear. The battery is still ok but will need replacing later I expect. The watch keeps great time and when I don't want to have it going I pull out the small knob on the side and the battery stops . When I want to wear the watch again I set the time and push the knob back in. Even the small knob has the armani logo on and that is a good touch I like. The watch is water resistant and has a 2 year guarantee. I have not used the guarantee because my watch works fine. The watch can cost £150 and I think that is good for a watch like this, I would recommend it and it looks very smart. Will make a very good present for someone because it looks classic and wont date.
When I got engaged at Easter my fiancé didn't want a ring but I did want to get him something to mark the occasion so I opted for a watch. The watch I chose was a really stylish Emporio Armani. The model; number is ARO143. I got my watch from Goldsmiths, it cost me £150 but they are available at places like John Lewis for the same price. The watch came in a smart black box with Emporio Armani written on it. The watch is tucked away inside in soft velvety material. The whole thing is very sophisticated. The watch face is rectangular and black in colour. Its 3.8 x 3.4cm. The casing is stainless steel and the silver colour against the black face looks really smart. The watch has roman numerals and a sub dial second hand. The watch is easy to use with everything being clear and a reasonable size. All the hands are stainless steel. The glass on the watch is slightly curved and is mineral crystal glass. In the 12.0.clock position Emporio Armani is written in small silver letters. The watch has a quartz movement. The strap is black leather in a "croc" design and it fastens with a silver buckle. The booklet that came with the watch states that it is water resistant up to 50 meters!!! Now there's no way I can comment this because Mark would not consider even trying this. Its just not worth the risk. The watch is, as I said is very stylish. it's a classic type of design rather than ultra modern and I'm sure it will look good for many years to come. Its not over the top and showy but it looks classy enough to be noticed. Its so versatile. It looks great with a smart jacket and trousers but equally as good with T shirt and jeans. It made a great gift for a special occasion and was well worth the £150 that I paid for it. I would definitely recommend this watch. Its worth more than the five Dooyoo stars.
The Emporio Armani AR0143 is a very attractive men's watch that so far has really impressed me and done the job well. I received this watch for my birthday and I have to say it is probably my favourite watch that I have ever owned. *Looks* The first thing that anyone would notice if they see you wearing the watch would be how stylish it is. It's very classy and stylistically reaches a perfect equilibrium of being attractive enough to stand out but still maintaining a reasonably minimalistic approach without looking too basic. It is an aesthetically pleasing rectangular design that has a gentle curve to it. Numbers are represented as Roman Numerals, and an Emporio Armani logo and name is displayed on the face and side which is a nice touch. The watch body, hands, numbers, and logo are all in solid stainless steel and the strap is made of nice embossed black leather. *Usability* Despite the watch face being a rectangular shape as opposed to a traditional oval or circle as with many clocks and timepieces, it is still very easy to read, even with Roman Numerals used. Instead of having an outer seconds hand, there is instead a smaller one embedded within the main display, indicating the seconds passed. This I think was probably so design was not sacrificed, as having the seconds marked out along the edge may have taken away from the style of the Roman Numerals. I like how this was done instead of having no second markers at all like some watches. One thing to note is that as far as I know, here is no alarm. This doesn't bother me, because watch alarms are usually too fiddly and awkward to set and an alarm clock or mobile phone usually do a much better job. But this should still be taken into account. The watch advertises water resistance to 50m, something which I personally have not tested. I wear this watch all day every day and find it exceptionally comfortable, I hardly feel that it's on and it never leaves behind any indentations on my wrist like many watches do, or leave my wrist sweaty. *Quality* The watch oozes quality, and from a close inspection you can see it is very well built, and is a nice weight. I have not encountered any flaws in the design so far. I have owned the watch for almost 3 months and had no problems; obviously I can't guarantee a very long lifetime from this but it wouldn't surprise me. The glass and steel are now covered in light scratches but this is to be expected and doesn't really take away from the aesthetics of the watch. The strap has also started to wear where it has been fastened, something as well I suppose is inevitable. *Conclusion* This watch is brilliant for doing its job: telling the time. It's not gonna do much more than that, but if like me that's all you want, it'll suit you perfectly. Those looking for more functional watches with many features should look elsewhere. However, for a stylish, reliable, comfortable watch with a fairly high but not extortionate budget, this comes highly recommended.
