      Very helpful

a good watch with some problems

I have a thing for emporio armani watches and this one was a present given to me that I wear on and off. I like it but it has a difficult to fit clasp and that bugs me when I wear the watch. It rubs on the underside of my wrist and causes it to get red if I wear it for too long.

The watch has a smart look and the linked bracelet style strap is modern and very well made. The silver colour is great and has not tarnished. It is stainless steel and I like the way it looks when I wear it. The stainless steel looks good with the dark watch face.

The watch case is stainless steel as well and it makes a good feature of the watch face. The face is very clear to view and has the emporio armani name and logo on it. I like the look of it and find it easy to see what time it is when the watch is working. The watch is quiet and does not tick, its a quartz watch.

The watch hands are classic and look long and slim. The second hand is very useful if I need to time something. The watch keeps good time and the battery has been reliable in the watch. If it needed replacing I would get it done at an armani watch retailer.

The main point I have problems with is the clasp on the watch and its a bit of an issue I know that a lot of armani watches have. They do up in a very odd way and this one happens to rub my wrist. I always end up with redness where the clasp rubs if I wear the watch for too long.

The type of clasp is called a deployment clasp with a push button and it is hard to get used to. I think you need to try the watch out before you buy it in case you cant work the clasp. It is a bit of a pain to get used to.

When putting the watch on you need to press the button then click the fitting in place and tip it back to get the outer clasp to work as well. This is very secure and you should not lose your watch but it takes a long time to get used to fitting it on and taking it off and in the case of this watch it rubs a bit.

I think that is the main thing I don't get on with but I do like the look of the watch and the way it keeps good time. The box you get is flash and protects the watch well. The outer box is plain black and the inner case is great for protecting the watch. The inside of the case is like peach skin and there is a centre bit to put the watch in.

The watch has a 2 year guarantee and is water resistant to 50ms I have not tried it out and never wear the watch near water. The watch sells for about £179 and it is a good time keeper but the clasp is difficult to fit and use.
