I actually had this watch handed down to my by a family member who didn't wear this anymore. This person was a lady but much bigger in stature than me and when she gave me this watch I thought she must have bought a man's watch to fit the size of her larger wrist. The watch is a large and heavy model and I would suggest that it will best suit those with thicker, sturdier wrists. I really like the watch but when I'm wearing it it often feels cumbersome and I can always sense it's there.
The watch looks beautiful. It's gold plated strap is made from large links which can obviously be adjusted. The strap is shiny and bright. Near the end of the strap, just above and below the clock face, are small squares of twelve Swarovski crystals. The crystals also edge the clock face in two rows but stop where the 6 and 12 positions are.
The clock face itself has large numbers in gold on a white background. This can make the numbers difficult to see sometimes. There are seconds marked out on the dial too in small black strokes. The inner segment of the face has three dials. I honestly never use these dials as I find it time consuming to set it up but they have pointers which show the day of the week and the date by month and day. Where these dials are positioned there is a small circle pattern behind which is cut into pie-like pieces with decorative lines. I personally think this makes the watch face look cracked and damaged and it's the only part of the design I really dislike. The Guess logo appears just under the number 12. There is also a Guess logo stamped onto the catch on the strap.
The watch has a winder on the clock face for adjusting the time. I don't know why but I sometimes find the watch runs a tad fast and I have to keep putting it back a few minutes. It's easy to adjust though, although as I mentioned I do not bother with the inner dials.
The watch, on the back of the face, is marked with some information including the fact that this is waterproof to 165 feet. It certainly can withstand small splashes from a sink which is all I subject it to! I would say that overall the watch is easy to maintain but the stainless steel catch on the strap can sometimes fill up with grime on the edges although it's easy enough to clean.
This is a very handsome and regal looking watch which you can find for about £75 on Ebay now. I would recommend it to anyone who likes bold and beautiful time pieces.
