“ Brand: Ice Watch / Model: Classic Fluo / Available: various colours „
Okay, so this little watch really is a good present to buy for yourself or for someone else. The Ice Watch is now a globally well known brand now and is still as stylish as what it was when it first came out.
Style wise it's hard to fault the ice watch. It's available in a lot of colours which can suit anyone with any taste, it's watch face isn't oversized in the slightest and it easily stand out from any competitors or lookalike brands. It therefore gives you the chance to pick what you want and to chose a colour to suit your style.
It is well made; it'd take a lot to break the strap from the watch-face. The gel strap make it very comfy to wear all of the time so this is an added bonus. I wear this during manual labour and literally I am quite surprised I haven't destroyed the watch face or the product itself. No, it lasts for a while and is still in pretty good nick.
I would say that the watch is reliable, but with mine unfortunately one day it did stop completely (for no reason whatsoever) and had to be sent off to Ice to get fixed. It wasn't until 3 weeks later that I got a replacement which feels strange in comparison to my old one. The old watches are less stiff and the new ones are more harder but still are comfy.
All in all Ice watches are still in and are a nice piece of jewellery. If you want to buy this for a fashion conscious person this Christmas you really can't go wrong with the Ice Watch.
I know that doesn't say much for me... But my ice watch is seriously one of the coolest things I own! I was brough my first ice watch as a present after sutterly hinting when admiring others, originally I got it in blue and now I own it in purple and white too and even persuaded my friend to get it in red!
The cool thing with this watch is the colour and the fact celebrities are wearing them... But the good thing is they are actually a really good watch too! Ido tend to bash mine around a bit and 'touch wood' it still doesn't have a scratch on it!!! So it's tough!!! It also has a surrounding dial which I have a love hate relationship with as sometimes I enjoy twirling it but others it catches and is just annoying! I supposed that depends if you'll use that feature or not!
The only bad thing is with the ice watch is you can't get interchangeable straps!!! That would be awesome so you could wear a different. Odour each day without having to buy a new one!
I would definately recommend buying but maybe a colour that you can mix and match with!!!
I recieved this watch as a birthday present and was very impressed with it. It comes with lots of links on it so it is very large and i had to pay to have it adjusted to my size which didn't bother me. The links in the strap are plastic but it doesn't make the watch look cheap. I have this watch in black and it goes with EVERYTHING! I wear it whatever im doing and with whatever outfit im wearing. For £50 i believe this is a very good watch and i would reccomend it i loved it so much i even bought one for my brother's birthday. The packaging is attractive and the watch comes in what looks like an oversized lego brick. When you open it up and has a little white rubber block around the watch which can be attached to your phone as an accessory. For the price that was paid, it was worth it and i would recommend you to buy it :)
I love my watches and always have a selection to choose from to go with any outfit as I feel they are very important to finish any look. When Christmas came round last year I jumped at the chance to ask for an ice watch in yellow of course and to my delight I got one!
I couldn't wait to put my new watch on and I haven't taken it off since at £60 it's not the cheapest on the market but it is well worth the investment as it's excellently made and very hard wearing as I've worn it almost everyday since I got it last Christmas and it still looks brand new, it hasn't discoloured or become dirty looking.
For me it was a perfect fit, I have quite a small wrist and sometimes watches can be too big for me and keep slipping but that didn't happen with the ice watch it stayed snugly on my wrist and doesn't move, it's very comfortable to wear and doesn't leave any red marks or itch although it doesn't stop you from getting a watch shaped tan line!
I don't really have anything bad to say about it, the only thing would be the glow in dark feature doesn't always work which is a bit annoying when your trying to see the time at night.
I love my ice watch and I never take it off, in fact I'm going to buy another one in a different colour. £60 is a lot of money but it's definitely worth it as it's hard wearing and looks fabulous!
As I have mentioned in previous reviews I am a little bit of a watch fetishist and I have quite a few in my collection. I am drawn to more unusual and sometimes brightly coloured watches because I believe men have a harder time in asserting their individuality in what they wear and I think a watch is a good way of allowing myself to express a more personal viewpoint of who I am even if I am in a shirt and tie.
At the moment I really like plastic watches and I know they aren't to everyone's taste but the fact that I can buy them in all the colours of the rainbow cheaply really appeals to me. I have a few cheaper plastic watches and I decided that since I wore them so often I would quite like a more expensive one that would hopefully be better quality and just look that little bit more expensive on my wrist.
I knew Ice watches were extremely popular and they seemed to fit the criteria of what I wanted so I ordered myself one.
Choosing which watch to get was a lot harder than I thought it would be as there is a massive collection to choose from. Ice watch specialise in brightly coloured neon watches made of plastic and also rubber and the sheer choice available was a bit daunting as to be honest I liked the look of nearly them all.
I finally decided on their Classic Fluo style in neon blue as I thought this would be the colour and style that I would wear the most often.
I bought my Ice watch from Amazon but they are quite widely available in more upmarket department stores and jewellers. The price I paid was £57.00 which is about average for this style and colour.
When it arrived it came in a black cardboard box with Ice watch branding and inside that was the actual watch case. The case the watch comes in is shaped like a large piece of lego and is the same colour as the watch. The front and back are clear plastic so you can see the watch inside.
Getting the watch out of the case was a bit of a faff to be honest as it was packaged up with so many pieces of plastic and if you want to be able to put your new watch back in nicely so you can display it good luck because no matter how I tried to do it I couldn't get the watch to fit back in the packaging.
I quite like the large legobrick case as it looks unusual and definately stands out but the fact there isn't a proper holder so I can fit the watch back in the case properly really annoys me. The case also doubles up as a savings bank which is a little odd and perhaps just a gimmick too far for me.
There is also a little instruction booklet and also a warrenty inside which will cover the watch for two years.
I have to admit first impressions of the watch weren't great. Although I thought it looked great and was exactly what I wanted I was a little dissapointed it didn't look more different from the cheaper plastic watches I already own. I'll admit I was expecting it to just look a little bit more expensive and I expected the plastic to be harder and shinier.
I soon got over this however and accepted the fact that it is a plastic watch and no matter the brand they aren't going to be able to make it into something it isn't.
Nearly the whole watch is made of plastic with the exception of the winder, back of the face and the inside of the clasp. The strap is made of individual links which can be removed to make the watch smaller or bigger depending on your wrist size and for me I find it slightly too loose but I haven't actually got around to taking it in to be adjusted yet.
The clasp does seem a little flimsy but for a thin plastic watch overall it seems very well made and sturdy.
The face on the watch does have some shine to it and this does make it look better than the cheaper ones I own. The outside of the face contains the numbers 10 to 50 and looks like it should twist round but it doesn't seem to move so I think these must just be for decoration.
The colour is neon blue but unlike say the yellow or the pink the blue isn't so much in your face and could easily be worn with most outfits.
The real beauty of the watch is just how lightweight and comfortable it is on my wrist. Once on I hardly notice it and there is no kind of irritaion or annoyance of my skin and I could easily wear it for an entire day and night without it really getting in my way.
It is also waterproof up to a depth of 50 metres and although I haven't actually tried this I am definaely going to only be taking this watch on holiday with me this year so I can feel safe knowing that I won't be destroying it by taking it to the beach with me.
If you are looking for a fun yet practical watch that is 'cool' but doesn't have many features and you don't mind paying a little more for a brand then I would definately recommend an ice watch. The watch is no doubt better built than the cheaper one's even if it doesn't really look all that different at first glance.
If you buy this not only are you getting a fashionable watch that will make you stand out but you also don't have to sacrifice comfort with it.
I'm very happy with the look of it now and I am already planning on buying it in some different colours for the summer.
If you are looking for a trendy plastic watch that has just a little bit more coolness than the cheap one's found on the high street then I don't think you can go wrong with an Ice watch.
