Advantages: So cool, lots of handy gadgets, feels well made
Disadvantages: Jus the plastic bit on the carabineer (why!) and the compass isnt great
What is it?
This watch is a clip watch, with 4 other functions as well as just being a very accurate watch. It has a "clip out" magnifying glass, (see pic), as a carabineer, (just something to clip your keys to your trouser belt clip), a compass (not very accurate, i don't use this, I use the one on , boyztoys card, see my review on it) and a super bright LED on the top (is really really bright, my only worry with it is it may drain the battery quickly, but time will tell on that one).
The watch is made out of aluminum all over, except on the spring loaded bit on the right, which "closes" the carabineer. That bit is made of plastic, and does feel like it will break easily, but so far, no problems.
Although this is advertised as a jeep watch, it is made by a company called Dakota, so there are many varients of this watch, from other companies, just with different brands on the front, but they are all the same watch.
The watch feels very robust, and comes in a little case, which could be reused to store something else, and has a handy little clip on it, so you could attach that to your belt as well!
So overall?
I highly recommend this watch. It is my favorite watch i have owned to date, and for £20 including shipping, its not that expensive either. Its packed full of useful gadgets, holds your keys in place, freeing up pocket space, and in my opinion, looks quite cool. The only thing is that you have to get used to looking at your belt rather than your wrist to see the time.
I wouldn't recommend binning your current watch to get this, but if you need a new watch, certainly do check this watch out.
Summary: My fav watch so far
