Advantages: Workmanship, quality, looks - the list is endless
Disadvantages: Only thing would be price but great things rarely come cheap
I was lucky enough to be given this watch for my 21st birthday last year.
It is like no watch you will ever wear and I can promise you that everyone will love it.
I was told in the shop (goldsmiths, Trafford centre) that every component is hand made, the blue and red centres of the cogs are not dyed blue and red but kept in the fire until they naturally turn that colour (I don't know how it works)
The watch is completely transparent bar from the workings of the watch, so you can see your own wrist through the moving parts.
It comes with a leather strap but rather than being a traditional buckle that all leather straps have, it has a clip type buckle more associated with metal straps.
The watch is a wind up so you have to wind up the dial to keep the watch working. This only needs to be done probably once a day if you where it all the time.
Every single detail about the watch is superb, the manager at the store told me even the box that the watch comes in (a big varnished wooden box with leather interior) is worth around £250.
My watch, as I can assume with all Maurice Lacroix masterpieces came with a warranty
the price is steep at around £2500 its not your average old school Casio but I can say from mine it will be the most cherished and admirable watch I will ever own
Summary: Cannot praise it enough
