This watch exudes elegance and class with it's well scultped and curvaceous case to it's swiss made and highly precise rhodium plated movement. I have worn this watch with a suit and when I go sailing and I get so many compliments. This watch is not flashy like a Rolex and does not shout out I have so much money, it's understated but respected. I have taken this watch everywhere I go abroad, whether it's in very hot or very cold climates. The attention to detail that Omega have gone to in order to make this watch perfect is astounding and they even put a geneva wave on the dial that creates a very unique look and the engraving of a sea horse on the caseback.
I have owned this watch for 6 years and mechanically it has not failed me once. The only issue I have had with this watch is the clasp and how the links loosen over time but apart from that it's flawless. Also it can scratch quite easily but can be buffed out by a jeweller.
The disadvantages of this watch is it's price, it costs about the same as a good secondhand car, servicing costs and replaced parts are high but this adds to the experience of owning such a high quality and reputable timepiece.
I would recommend this watch, in any guise, to anyone looking for something that is rugged but sophiscated at the same time and is not wanting to buy the usual suspects like Rolex, TAG Heuer or Breitling. If it's good enough for James Bond then it's good enough for me.
I had this watch given to me as a gift by my ex-partner, and at the time had no idea what it was worth or that it was anything other than a 'nice watch'. I've worn it on multiple occasions and it always got a comment about how stylish, or 'classy' it looked.
It's ultra reliable too, gaining a few (10 ?) seconds a month at most. The strap is sturdy, but not bulky, and the watch face itself is clear and simple, with no frills, but no clutter too.
Overall, this has been a great watch, perfect for business meetings, weddings, and day to day use alike. I'm looking to get another one now, and surprisingly selling this one on (on a site like ebay) actually recoups me 75% of the original retail price! Not too bad, especially considering how fast everything else depreciates in price in todays society!
A great watch, with style and class, and a good investment too.. Get one now.
I bought this watch the other week as I was looking for a decent watch that looked good in all situations. Omega have always been one of the leading names in quality, and I particularly like the association with James Bond - I feel like an ultra cool secret agent whenever I wear it!
I bought an automatic Seamaster, which has a stainless steel bracelet and the famous Seamaster blue wavy face. It looks simply awesome and I've had many admiring glances at it. It seems to be pretty accurate, and only gains a couple of seconds a week - which is very good for a watch.
It's very well built, and, if I don't replace it, I can see this watch easily outliving me with the right care.
Also, if you are thinking about buying a watch similar to this, make sure you buy one from a reputable dealer in a shop, or at least try one on in the shop first. You really need to try on these watches to know what suits you.
Overall, this is a very good watch. Now, I'm off to save the world from another terrorist threat....
