I purchased an Omega Seamaster Professional Automatic 300 (2254.50) in Kuwait City at an "Authorized Seller" - a jeweler shop "Bebehani" - and I checked up on Omega's official website for the address, to ensure that I had a REAL Omega and I even emailed the company - the were very prompt! - to satisfy my worries about counterfeits. My watch keeps absolutely marvelous time (I've had it for just over one year now) and I firmly believe that those who post about their "Omegas" being poor timepieces have inadvertently (or perhaps mistakenly) gotten their hands on a counterfeit watch! I've heard that the counterfeits are quite good/excellent reproductions & that even watch "experts" have a hard time telling the two apart. Only buy from a Jeweler and make sure the address is listed on Omega's website before you purchase - I can't say that enough if you want a REAL Omega...otherwise....
